Eddie Richards did us proud at our 2009 opening party and now we’re back for the second in a series of monthly FREE parties throughout the summer in Brighton.
This month we have installed EXTRA SOUND to cover the basement beautifully and booked Kelvin K to headline downstairs and Go Bang! DJs holding the fort up top.
Kelvin is an accomplished DJ and producer with a string of releases on Lost My Dog, Hudd trax, Nordic and Conya. His Full Circle and Sub Terra EPs are both out now and have support from Loco Dice, Jamie Jones, Jimpster, Inland Knights, Charles Webster, Jay Tripwire, Laurent Garnier, Jason Hodges and Robert Owens to name a few.
Kelvin K is going to treat us to an Underground House set that will no doubt be outstanding - if you’ve never seen him play, then make it along for this one - He loves House and He rocks!
Contraband DJ’s dropping a 4 decks and FX set, along with Jamie Green, Bruno Otranto, Ivan Barbero, Arkadiusz & Subtone also on the bill. Policy downstairs is Driving, Tech House and Techno all the way.
We’ll be kicking things off out side from 8pm on the terrace, with DJ sets to give Brighton Pavilion a Balearic feel for the night.
Upstairs takes a completely different approach and we’re proud to be part of the Go Bang! festival this year. They will bring Decor, DJs, Smiles and lots of super funky disco plus the deep down and dirty classics that always make the night. The Go Bang! sound always means that the girls are on the dancefloor first and still shaking it at the end.

We kick off the season this Friday with a party across 2 floor’s at Al Duomo (that’s right, we take over the Italian place by the pavilion gardens for the night.)
Dan Warb is now ranked along side some of UK’s very finest DJ’s with his profile having been added to UK’s official Ecler and Ortofon Pro Team web site. Henley Designs (the UK distributor for the Ecler and Ortofon brand) have worked to create what they feel is their group of elite DJ’s where each possess a professional ability to show case both Ecler’s mixers and Ortofon’s DJ cartridges.
Headed by none other than Sonny Wharton him self the list of members now reads, Paddy Freeform, Missrepresent, Futurebound, DJ Skully, DJ Friction, Urban Nerds, SuperStyle Deluxe and Dan Warb.
Zapatilla mash it up: A one night wonderland of international acts, unmissable debuts, electronic wizardry and fuzing flamenco; tech, trance, electro, drum n base… enough?? And not forgetting YOU the FAMILIA FANTASTICA. Come and play, we are waiting!!

Giving birth to a whole new concept of clubbing, Zapatilla aims to bend your mind in to a new way of being.
The party will be streamed live (audio and video) from the club into Second Life and viceversa to enable you to be in to places at once and on this occasion, party and dance to the sounds of Second Life’s very top hero DJ’s.

Producer/DJ from Amsterdam, one of the biggest names in 2nd life clubbing sceen. He started writhing music in 1994 since then he has become a reference for many other DJ´s and producers. He will bring a unique blend of minimal techno and electro performing a live set with all his productions.
Was discovered by the organisers of Tribal Gathering (UK) who invited him to play at the German counterpart.Also awarded with ´Newcomer DJ of the year´ 1995 by the German Techno magazine Raveline
He played beside artists such as Chemical Brothers, Orbital, Laurent Garnier, The Advent, Dave Angel, DJ Hell, Dave Clark, Ritchie Hawtin, Robert Hood, Jeff Mills, DJ Sneak, Future Funk, Marshall Jefferson, Paul VanDyke, Paul Oakenfold, Monika Kruse, Justin Robertson, Zombie Nation, Cari Lekebusch and many more.
Our local hero, Super Skilled DJ/Producer, with 13 years experience, Nuno has become a must in all Zapatilla events, playing his ‘Deep and Tough Minimal Techno’ and is renowned for producing a hands in the air atmosphere, every time.
Nuno has played in festivals such as The Big Chill, Waveform, Shambala, Beach Breaks and Numb Numbs (Brazil). He has played along side names as System 7, Trentemoller, Eatstatic, Wonderland Avenue, Andy Mac and many others.

A bit about ANDY BLAKE, the man behind DISSIDENT Records. Somewhat shrouded in mystery, Dissident prevails as one of the most talked about labels of this year. It’s emergence having become synonymous with the rebirth of London’s underground disco scene.
All its releases are strictly vinyl only, in editions of 200, and there is no online presence – not even a blog or a Myspace page.
